The Ware-based company's blankets were sold under its name and the L.L. Bean brand, where they are sold in stores. The CPSC said in its recall notice that they were also sold at Army and Air Force Exchange Service, Amazon.com, Target.com, Macys.com, and QVC.com.
The company has received nine reports of the blankets and throws burning, melting, or overheating. No injuries have been reported.
The throws and blankets are 50 inches wide and 60 inches long and made of polyester with a white cord and white digital controller.

The recalled products were sold from August 2022 through October 2023 for between $50 and $180.
Anyone who owns one of these blankets or throws is asked to contact Berkshire Blanket & Home Co. for a refund.
